Our story

PRO | ORA was created from lived experience - in sport, in design, and in bringing performance products to market. It was born from the belief that professional sports apparel can be technically uncompromising, thoughtfully designed, and considered in its impact - without being loud or disposable. We are the complete opposite of fast fashion. All our designs our timeless and built to last. 

The Founders

James has spent his career in fashion and manufacturing, working across the full lifecycle of product creation - from initial design and development through to production and launch. As a high‑level racquet sport athlete, he repeatedly encountered the same gap: mens performance wear that performed technically, but lacked refinement in fabric, colour, and design. Function existed, but intention often did not.

Gemma comes from a lifelong relationship with sport - from competitive running at national level to sponsored kitesurfing, including a Guinness World Record for kitesurfing the English Channel. Alongside a career in the luxury sector and working alongside world-class athletes, this formed a sharp eye for detail and a belief that sportswear could be done better.

Together, that shared frustration became PRO | ORA.

A Different Approach to Performance

PRO | ORA is designed for athletes and sporting professionals who demand high‑functioning apparel, but want pieces that extend naturally beyond training. We believe performance and lifestyle are not mutually exclusive - and that the clothing you train in should feel just as considered when worn outside the gym.

Every silhouette is purposeful. Every seam, fabric choice, and finish is intentional. Our design language is restrained, elevated, and quietly confident - allowing the product to speak through performance rather than excess branding.

Fabric First

Much of modern sportswear relies heavily on synthetic fabrics. While synthetics have their place, we don’t believe they should be the default.

We prioritise natural and innovative fibres that offer inherent performance benefits - breathability, moisture management, and odour control - without unnecessary chemical treatment.

Our collections include pieces made from:

• Merino wool, chosen for its natural thermoregulation, moisture‑wicking, and odour‑resistant properties

• Linen, valued for its breathability and ability to regulate temperature during movement

• TENCEL™, derived from responsibly sourced eucalyptus pulp, offering softness, strength, and excellent moisture control

• Innovative fabrics made using discarded Cacao husks, repurposing waste into functional textiles with a reduced environmental footprint

Where synthetic fibres are required to achieve specific performance outcomes - such as stretch, durability, or recovery - we use recycled materials only, always with intention and restraint.
